A Logical Data Fabric
Kudelski leveraged the Denodo Platform, which uses data virtualization to establish an enterprise-wide logical data fabric. This new data infrastructure makes all data accessible throughout the organization, in real time, while abstracting users from the complexities of the underlying technologies. In this way, the Denodo Platform empowered Kudelski’s business users with self-service business intelligence (BI) capabilities, reducing their dependency on IT.
With the Denodo Platform in place, Kudelski was able to complement the capabilities of its existing data warehouse with a data infrastructure that supports real-time data. In addition, by serving as the central data-access layer for Kudelski, the Denodo Platform is a key component in the Kudelski group’s data governance initiatives, which address the requirements of data security and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Denodo Platform provides Kudelski with agility, flexibility to access and consume data, and enables a fully integrated reporting environment.
